Every year thousands of oil and gas professionals gather to Houston and take part in the Offshore Technology Conference, also knows as the OTC. It's a conference and exhibition focused in the development of offshore energy resources, primarily oil and natural gas. It's the largest oil and gas sector trade show in the world and ranks among the largest 200 trade shows held annually in the United States, and is among the 10 largest meetings in terms of attendance. Attendance consistently exceeds 50,000 professionals and more than 2,000 companies.
The Finnish American Chamber of Commerce Greater Houston decided to host a dinner for numerous Finnish companies attending the conference. Most of them small and medium size with no offices in Houston. FACC saw this as a good opportunity to arrange a dinner for the Finnish representatives and their clients. The dinner event held on Monday the 2nd of May at Chef Pedersen's private restaurant turned out to be a big success with nearly 60 people attending. The event presented an optimal networking possibility for all the attending companies.
